SoS is having issues to reduce sparse plug data. Sparse plug data is exposures taken with only one fiber per 20 fiber bundle plugged. These high exposure time arc exposures. The slit head is on optical path of light from collimator to spectrograph. The slit head reflects back some light in to the collimator which eventually ends up at the detector. To bypass this effect, we set the middle wavelength so that the reflected light moves away from the optical path. The sparse plug data typically has arc exposures taken with 30 s and 60 s exposure times with different collimator positions. It is sparsely plugged so that it becomes easy to see the reflection features in the data.
The problem here is that aporeduce flags the data as bad because of the gaps. Have to solve this somehow.
