Based on 'programname' keyword in the plugmap files, we will measure the SN2 values differently for the ELG plates.
We will use the 'clean' wavelengths (away from sky lines) to estimate the median SN2 values. The SN2 for the plate will be evaluated at z = 21 mag , by fitting the above median SN2 values against the z magnitudes. The fitting will be done in the range 21 < z < 22 with a constant slope of 0.6 (close to the sky dominated noise regime). (This is already implemented)
Based on our analysis, a SN2 of 10 in the red cameras takes the redshift efficiency above 75 %. So, the plan is to multiply each exposure with a scale factor (current threshold=22)/10 , so that the observers (and petunia) have the same SN2 thresholds. For the first month, we will accumulate data at a depth of SN2=15 and will redo the analysis and figure out the best scale factor. So, for the first month, the scale factor will be (22/15) = 1.4666
The plate completeness will be decided by the SN2 values of the red cameras alone. We will hard wire the Blue cameras SN2 to 4 per exposure for these plates.
